‘He shaped with plenty of promise’ – Four horses form Lucky 15 at Killarney 🍀

Killarney is undoubtedly on the shortlist for the most picturesque racecourse in the world. There’s a competitive card on Monday and we’ve picked out four interesting runners to consider putting into a Lucky 15. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

5.15 Killarney

Alder (7-2, Paddy Power) shaped with plenty of promise when fourth on debut. That was over 7f and he gave the impression the step up to a mile would suit. He stayed on well despite being tenderly handled and there should be plenty more to come on his second start.

6.45 Killarney

If you can forgive his latest effort over 1m1f, Hale Bopp (10-3, Paddy Power) has a good chance here. Colin Keane is down to ride which is always a massive positive. The handicapper raised him 6lb for a comfortable win at Naas over a mile two starts ago. That performance suggested he should be capable of putting in a big effort off this new mark.

7.15 Killarney

Ark (11-8, Paddy Power) is going to win a fillies’ maiden at some point and there’s every chance that this is the day. Having faded in the final furlong over 1m4f at Bellewstown last time, the drop down to 1m3f here should suit. Her form looks stronger than the other fillies to have raced so far so providing she doesn’t bump into a smart unraced filly, this is a golden opportunity.

7.45 Killarney

Spasiba (11-4, Paddy Power) could hardly have been more impressive at Roscommon last time. It was an promising performance when winning by four-and-a-half lengths. There should be plenty more to come on just his third start and the step up to 1m3f is unlikely to be an issue.
