‘He has solid form on a rattling surface’ – three fast-ground lovers at Beverley

We have had a good spell of weather in Britain this week so the ground at Beverley Racecourse is forecasted to be good to firm. The action gets under way there at 2.15pm on Tuesday and Adrian Wall has found three horses that should all relish the fast conditions. Please note that the ground can change rapidly so be sure to check that the ground is still fast come post time before you place your bets.

2.45 Beverley

Likely to be a decent price, there could be some value in having a small bet on Profitable Dreams in the 5f seller. The filly won a 5f Chepstow maiden on fast ground last year, showing a great turn of foot late on in the race. She disappointed in a Goodwood seller thereafter, but raced only on ground with soft in the description after that. She has an absence to overcome but conditions will suit.

3.45 Beverley

Bella Kopella is a course and distance winner who wasn’t seen to best effect when down the field on soft ground at Doncaster last month, but a much better showing is expected back on a faster surface. She was a winner here on good ground in the past, and has run well on good to firm too. She’s high enough in the weights but she has a nice draw and can go well.

4.15 Beverley

Beltane has the burden of top weight in the extended mile handicap, but he was only beaten a couple of lengths in a much stronger race than this around here last time and won the last time he dropped into a 0-70 contest. He has solid form on a rattling surface and looks well treated.
