‘Ground conditions could be perfect’ – 20-1 Prix De l’Arc de Triomphe tip ✅

The Prix De l’Arc de Triomphe is one of the most iconic and valuable races on the European racing calendar and the big race isn’t far away. It takes place at Longchamp on Sunday 1st October and it’s shaping up to be another fascinating renewal. Always full of international flavour, the British could bring home the spoils this year. This 20-1 shot has snuck under the radar but there’s plenty in his favour ahead of the race. You can check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

Prix De l’Arc de Triomphe

Bay Bridge is thoroughly unexposed over 1m4f, having tried the trip just once. That came in Group 3 company at Kempton last time out, where he scored in stylish fashion. It’s good to see him back on track after a disappointing effort in the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes at Royal Ascot.

This is a good time of year to catch Bay Bridge as he has won three of his four starts in October, with his only defeat coming on debut. He claimed his first Group 1 victory in the Champion Stakes at Ascot last October and he shaped as if 1m4f would suit that day.

The ground conditions could be perfect for him as there should be some ease in the surface. Rain is expected in Paris on Thursday and good to soft ground is a significant possibility. Sir Michael Stoute’s charge has had three starts on good to soft, winning all three.

There should be plenty more to come from this horse over 1m4f as he’s often vulnerable to quicker types over 1m2f. Currently available at 20-1, there’s plenty in his favour and that looks like a massive price for a horse with such a solid record at this level.
