Gamble alert: newcomer backed from 15/2 into 9/4 at Naas

Our resident horse racing man Adrian Wall has always been an avid market watcher. He has spotted a pretty large ongoing gamble taking place at Naas Racecourse today. Our free horse racing tips are also available every single day and we have been in good form the past month. Let’s take a closer look at the big gamble in more detail below.

1.25 Naas

We have plenty of quality fare to look forward to in Britain today, but across in Ireland an interesting gamble is developing. Running in the opening 5f maiden, Make Haste has been backed from 15/2 into 9/4 and is now favourite to land the spoils.

Trained by Diego Dias, this Blue Point filly cost 75,000 guineas as a yearling. She is a half-sister to 6f winner Quick Time and 7f winner Shine Forever. Her dam Quick March was a two-year-old 6f winner, and is a half-sister to Mince who also won over 6f.

There’s plenty of speed in the family which is a good sign and Dias doesn’t run too many horses. In 2023, he sent out 23 runners and two of them won, while this year to date he has sent out 14 runners and three of them have won.

It’s clear that Dias does very well with the ammunition he has at his disposal. He sent Brosay over to Goodwood this month and that horse won so he looks like a canny operator. It’s very difficult to back a newcomer of any sort as we can never know what to expect, but it’s clear that connections of this horse think she is going to do the business today.
