4.05 Fairyhouse

Gordon Elliott’s tremendous form continued at Leopardstown’s Dublin Racing Festival at the weekend, netting five winners in total, including two Grade 1s thanks to victories for Romeo Coolio and Brighterdaysahead, who both toppled some of Willie Mullins’ star mares.

Elliott has several well-backed runners at Fairyhouse today, including our Nap of the Day, so head onto the page and find out which horse that is! However, the biggest mover of the day is Dairy Force who is running in the 2m opportunity handicap hurdle (4.05).

This 7yo son of Workforce is having his first run for the Cullentra House team today after a spell with Liam O’Brien, with the highlight a Killarney maiden hurdle win over this trip in the summer of 2024.

He finished second in a 2m4f handicap at Clonmel off a mark of 100 in October and again ran a solid race when fourth over that trip at Thurles in November. He hasn’t been seen since but the ground would have to be a concern as his best form is on decent ground, and we have heavy conditions forecast today.

Clearly, he has been going well at home to warrant this weight of support, and the capable Josh Williamson will take a handy 2lb off in the plate.
