Friday marks the start of three days of brilliant jumps action live on ITV. The sequence begins with racing from Market Rasen and Lingfield, with the latter hosting a top card with a massive prize pool. The feature of the day comes from Market Rasen, however, in the form of the Listed bumper.
We’ll have horse racing tips for all the action, including a NAP of the Day and accumulator tips. I’m hoping to provide you with a pair of big-priced winners on Friday, before Matt and Adrian take over for the other two days of ITV action. You can find my selections and analysis below, happy punting!
She didn’t post the biggest RPR on debut, but Fairy Gem (20-1) looks a smart prospect and should improve plenty for that winning introduction. Harry Fry has a 20% strike-rate in bumpers in the last five seasons and this full sister to Angels Breath finished best of all to nail a horse who had first run.
An RPR of 96 isn’t impressive in the context of this race, but she’s open to any amount of progress for a stable that does extremely well in this sphere. Her pedigree suggests she can do far better with further experience and her other sister, Outofthisworld, took a similar route back in 2017. Conditions are perfect and with three places on offer, I’m expecting a big effort.
Dan Skelton saddles two outsiders in this contest, and I’ll side with the Harry Skelton-ridden Antunes (33-1). An act of faith is needed with this eight-year-old, who was tailed off on return at Aintree and pulled up at Exeter last time behind subsequent Dipper winner L’Homme Presse.
Those runs are obviously disappointing, but he now returns to hurdling and is a pound below his last winning rating. He loves the mud, so today’s conditions will be perfect, and a return to two miles is another big positive. A sharp track will also play to his strengths and wind surgery could be another catalyst.
The tongue-tie is reached for by Skelton and if that has the desired effect, he’s more than capable of running a big race off a rating of 134.
