Friday ITV Outsiders: Aidan O’Brien runner can cause a huge Epsom upset at 100-1 😱

We are in for another stellar weekend of horse racing action and the feature on Friday has to be the Epsom Oaks, where Emily Upjohn bids to confirm to backers why she is such a short price.

Adrian Wall is back with his weekly feast of ITV Racing Outsider bets and he thinks these three runners are all overpriced. Best of luck if you follow and remember, always gamble responsibly.

2.00 Epsom

Sporting the familiar Nick Bradley colours, The Twilight Lady (22/1) looks far too big a price to be ignored. She needs a good pace to aim at and got that when winning at Ripon by a flared nostril over 5f in April. She is drawn high so should be able to follow likely front runner Commander Straker through on the outside and this easier ground will help.

3.45 Epsom

Kieran Shoemark is having an unbelievable few weeks and it’s a surprise to see Arqoob (28/1) at such large odds. The 4yo has been plying his trade in Bahrain the last while, and although he doesn’t look particularly well treated, he is a very consistent yardstick and the return to Britain could do him the world of good.

4.30 Epsom

No Aidan O’Brien horse should be 100/1 for the Oaks, period. One would be foolish to write off any horse of Ballydoyle’s on the big day and I think The Algarve will outrun her odds. The American Pharaoh filly won on heavy ground over a mile at Galway back in October, and looked in need of the run when fourth to Emily Upjohn in the Musidora. Stepping up to 1m4f for the first time with that run under her belt, she is not to be totally discounted for powerful connections.
