Epsom Experts: Four course specialists form monster 954-1 accumulator 🐎

Epsom is an unconventional track to say the least with its undulations and the camber on the run-in. It has unbalanced many a horse over the years and scuppered many Derby hopes. There are always horses for courses though and there are some that thrive on this track and are able to deal with its eccentricities better than most. Here are four course specialists running at Epsom on Tuesday. If you would like to see more content check out our free tips page where you will find tips across all British and Irish racing.

1.50 Epsom

Mokaatil has had just three runs at Epsom and won on two of those starts. The ground should also be to his liking as he loves ground which is good or faster. He won the Dash here last season off the very same mark which he runs off here. This experienced gelding has to have a great chance with plenty in his favour and it would be fair to expect a big run.

2.55 Epsom

Soto Sizzler has a fantastic record at Epsom with two wins and two seconds from four starts at the track. 99 is a mammoth rating to contend with considering his previous highest winning mark is 5lb lower. If he is to overcome such a burden, this would be the place and he should be fit enough having had a run in a Listed race at Kempton behind the subsequent Easter Classic winner. He’ll love the ground as he has three wins and three seconds to his name in eight starts on good going.

3.30 Epsom

Going Gone should absolutely thrive as he has a perfect record at both the track and on good ground. This combination feels like a recipe for success and he has to have a great chance. This new mark of 92 is a hefty one but it’s probably deserved on the back of his comprehensive win at Newmarket and his almost five-length victory here three starts ago. He’s still a lightly raced four-year-old and there could be more to come.

4.30 Epsom

New Pursuit has the distinct advantage of being the only one of these three-year-olds to have run at Epsom. He has a 100 per cent record here having scored on his only start. Knowing how difficult the track can be, the fact that he acted on it as a two-year-old has to be a very promising sign. In a race that’s full of unexposed three-year-olds, he could be the one to get his head in front.
