Ebor Festival: Three bang in-form jockeys to keep an eye on at York this week

There are many factors to consider when having a bet, especially at the big festivals. The Ebor Festival takes place at York this week and the racing is always very competitive. You want your jockey to be in peak form ahead of the big meeting as in-form jockeys can be the difference between winning or losing.

We’ve got you covered and have selected three jockeys with very healthy strike-rates in the last fortnight, who could be worth keeping an eye on at York this week. Take a look at our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

Tom Marquand

Marquand is always a jockey to follow anyway but his strike-rate in the last couple of weeks is very healthy. It also helps that he rides for William Haggas, who is one of the best trainers around. He picks up plenty of smart spare rides too and already has four winners at the track this year.

Daniel Tudhope

Tudhope has ridden plenty of winners at York over the years and that trend is expected to continue. He has plenty of contacts and regular boss David O’Meara loves a winner or two at the meeting also. Having ridden a treble at Ayr last week, his confidence will be high heading into York.

Oisin Murphy

Murphy has just been named as new retained rider for Imad Al Sagar and that will add to his already substantial firepower. The Champion jockey is averaging just shy of a winner a day over the last fortnight and he’ll have plenty of big chances across the week.
