One of the highlights of the jumps season in the Dublin Racing Festival at Leopardstown and we have a tip for all eight races there on Saturday!
Jasmin De Vaux won the Champion Bumper in March and the form of his maiden hurdle win at Navan in December has worked out very well, with The Enabler and Workahead impressing since. He can bounce back from a poor run in the Lawlor’s Of Naas.
Hello Neighbour did everything wrong on his hurdling debut over C&D on St Stephen’s Day, but he still won. He raced far too freely and his jumping was poor, but the hood will help him settle here and he’s a real classy type.
Perceval Legallois won this race in 2023 and after some good runs in big handicaps, he finally came good again when landing the Paddy Power Chase here over the Christmas period. He’s well treated back over hurdles.
Ile Itlantique was very impressive when landing both chase starts to date, including beating Firefox by five lengths when last seen. His form is arguably stronger than Majborough’s, who beat Tullyhill and Asian Master on chasing bow but neither could frank that form since.
Fact To File has a monumental challenge trying to take down Galopin Des Champs but he beat him before and the favourite did run a few pounds below his best in this race in 2023 and 2024, even though he was impressive in victory. At the prices, Fact To File is the value.
Gavin Cromwell’s Midnight It Is won a Navan handicap chase on reappearance in December and winners have come out of that contest. He ran well in third behind stablemate The King Of Prs at Fairyhouse when last seen but Conor Stone-Walsh’s claim could prove to be very valuable here and he should take the beating.
Green Splendour was fourth behind the talented Regent’s Stroll for Stuart Crawford on debut at Newbury last March and got off the mark on first run for Mullins here on St Stephen’s Day. It’s hard to know how deep that race was but he looks a decent horse.
