‘Connections haven’t come for a day out’ – 25/1, 22/1 and 16/1 Saturday ITV Outsiders

We’ve got a feast of ITV action available to us on Saturday, with 10 races being broadcasted live across three different tracks. That means there are multiple opportunities for an each-way play and as usual, we have you covered. Here are three horses currently available at substantial prices which don’t accurately reflect their chances. These include a 25/1 shot at Kelso who has an excellent course record and has to be considered. Take a look at our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

1.10 Kelso

Chapel Green (25/1, Betfred) is no stranger to Kelso and he has won three of his six course starts. Lucinda Russell & Michael Scudamore’s nine-year-old was last victorious here in September over a longer trip and should be very competitive off just a 2lb higher mark.

2.15 Kelso

Red Oak (16/1, Boylesports) finished second in a couple of bumpers for previous connections and produced a solid performance to finish runner-up once again on stable debut in a Class 2 event at Ascot. James Owen’s gelding managed to get off the mark with a smooth display at Musselburgh in December, before finishing second under a penalty at Catterick. He can outrun his odds in this open Grade 2.

2.55 Kelso

Laafi (22/1, Betfred) has only had four starts over hurdles and is thoroughly unexposed in handicap company. He wasn’t disgraced off this mark in a competitive race at the Dublin Racing Festival last time out and there could be any amount of improvement still to come in this sphere. Connections haven’t come over just for a day out and Patrick O’Brien’s 5lb claim could come in handy.
