United Force won a handicap at Leicester on soft ground at Leicester last term. It was an excellent effort from him over course and distance last time out, when finishing second by a nose, and he’s since been put up 3lb by the handicapper. That will make life a little harder here but conditions will suit and another big run is expected.

Meet Me In Meraki was an easy winner on soft at Bath earlier in the season. The result never looked in doubt that day and he went on to win by a comfortable margin. He kept on well to finish third off this mark when last seen and is entitled to go close again off the same mark. David Evans’ three-year-old has the scope to find further improvement and he should be winning more races.

Anif has won once in just two starts on soft ground and that success came over course and distance on his penultimate start. Michael Herrington’s 10-year-old was third off this mark over a mile recently and the in-form gelding should be bang in the mix once again.
