The underfoot conditions are set to be very testing at Beverley on Tuesday and that means you can forget about fast ground horses. Conditions will take some getting but fear not, as we have you covered on that front. We’ve selected four runners with proven records on soft and heavy ground, who should therefore have an advantage. Take a look at our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.
Invincible Annice hasn’t been in the best of form so far this season but the return to testing conditions will help. She won a Hamilton novice over this trip on heavy ground last season so a stiff 5f obviously suits. It’s only a matter of time before she’s competitive again and the handicapper has given her a chance.
Powerful Glory was unbeaten in two starts as a two-year-old, impressively scoring by five-and-a-half lengths on debut. Heavy ground was no obstacle when following up in the Mill Reef Stakes next time and that form makes him the one to beat. He appeared to need the run on seasonal debut in October and the drop in grade should help too.
It Just Takes Time has won two of his four starts on heavy ground and his best effort so far this season came with ease in the ground. Proper soft conditions will be right up his street here and a return to winning ways can’t be ruled out.
Dandy’s Angel is a consistent performer on most types of ground and won over course and distance on good to firm in July. Now down to a 2lb lower mark, she has also won six times on soft or heavy ground. This looks like a good opportunity to return to winning ways.
