Charles Byrnes pulled off an incredible three horse plot at Roscommon last year which took millions off of the bookmakers in the UK & Ireland and he has three runners running at Listowel today which are starting to see significant market support. We are not saying that he has anything to do with the money and we are not tipping all three of them, we are simply notifying you all about the gamble and after that it’s up to you if you would like to have a flutter or not. It did come up trumps for our followers at Roscommon!
4.10pm Listowel – ALTO ESQUA (15/2 into 5/2) – Network gelding who has a lengthy absence to overcome but he did win on hurdles debut and was only narrowly beat by Val De Ferbet on heavy ground at Limerick when last seen so he will certainly appreciate the give in the ground. He is still very lightly raced and the money is speaking in his favour so a big run must be on the cards for the Byrnes horse.
4.40pm Listowel – DENHAM SOUND (10/1 into 4/1) – Interesting, Davy Russell doesn’t ride this one and is instead on Ex Patriot for the Holden yard but Paul Townend is still a very good jockey booking on this well backed Champs Elysses filly who is guaranteed to love the heavy ground today. With form figures of 321133, she is clearly very consistent and may excel in testing conditions.
5.10pm Listowel – STACEY’S PRIDE (5/2 into Evens) – This filly is bred for the job today and the money would suggest she is up to winning this bumper. By Stowaway but she also has plenty of flat speed on the dam side which looks like the perfect combination on debut. This is one of the festivals that Byrnes targets as it is so close to his native Ballingarry in County Limerick and he may well come away with 3 winners today.
