Alec Voikhansky is currently Britain’s hottest jockey and is operating at a strike-rate of 36 per cent in the last fortnight. The young rider has had five winners from just 14 rides and he’s booked to take another three rides at Windsor on Monday. We’ve combined these runners into a massive 170-1 treble for you to consider. Rhubarb (11-1, William Hill) has a solid and consistent profile but is winless since last July. That victory came off a mark of 58 at Chepstow and she is currently rated 5lb lower. She hated the heavy ground at Ffos Las last time out and the much quicker ground here will be more to her liking. A return to winning ways is long overdue and she’s certainly capable of winning this.
Pinpoint (1-1, bet365) showed astronomical improvement under Voikhansky, when winning on handicap debut at Bath last time out. Having shown little in three starts in novice and maiden company beforehand, the switch to handicaps clearly made a big difference. There should be more to come in this sphere and the 6lb penalty may not be enough to prevent him from following up.
Dash Power (15-2, bet365) was well-beaten in his three starts to date and makes his handicap debut here. If he can show the sort of improvement upon switching to handicaps which stablemate Pinpoint showed, a big run could be on the cards. This opening mark of 51 looks fairly reasonable and the best is undoubtedly yet to come. He should be much more competitive in this grade.
