The Breeders’ Cup kicks off on Friday and as usual, there will be plenty of European interest. America’s flagship international racing festival takes place at Del Mar this year and the juvenile races take centre stage on Friday. MyRacing have you covered, with tips for all the Grade 1 races on Friday, including a 9/1 best bet.
We’ve selected three of Europe’s best chances and combined them into a treble for you to consider. Best of luck if you have a play and make sure to enjoy the racing! Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.
Aesterius (5/1, William Hill) could only manage fifth in the Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot but wasn’t beaten far and has been progressive since. He gained his revenge on Big Mojo in the Flying Childers Stakes when last seen and has earned a shot at this Grade 1 prize.
Lake Victoria (11/10, William Hill) hasn’t put a foot wrong in her career so far and remains unbeaten in four starts. This includes Group 1 success in the Moyglare (7f) and Cheveley Park (6f). Her pedigree suggests a mile will be no problem and this daughter of Frankel is Europe’s best chance of a winner on the night.
New Century (9/2, William Hill) has been beaten twice by old rival Al Qudra but gained revenge when it mattered in the Grade 1 Summer Stakes at Woodbine. A mile clearly suits this son of Kameko and his profile suggests there could be more to come. Andrew Balding’s colt is entitled to be in the mix in this open-looking contest.
