6.00 Wolverhampton

Bobbi Rosa is Slattery’s first ever runner at Wolverhampton and the filly will be ridden by his son Andrew, who also has a ride for Alice Haynes in the 8pm for those interested.

This is a good opportunity for the filly to get her head in front for the first time in the 5f novice on the card. She was sent off a 17/2 chance on debut when disappointing at the Curragh behind Arizona Blaze, a horse who has subsequently won a Group 3 and finished third in a Group 1.

Next time at Cork, Bobbi Rosa only found Ger Lyons’ Magnum Force too good and he was subsequently second in Listed company at York recently and holds a Group 1 entry.

When last seen in a Bellewstown auction maiden over 5f, she travelled really well but found Gazelle D’Or too strong in the finish. She had to give the winner 6lb so it was still a big run and the daughter of Havana Grey should prove hard to beat here if she handles the AW at her first attempt. It’s worth noting Slattery is 1-2 on the AW in Britain, that win at Newcastle.
