‘Always go low’ – Three horses that can take advantage of Beverley’s draw bias

2.30 Beverley

Coto De Caza has been drawn in stall four in this eight runner race, which is about as wide as you should be willing to go. Simon & Ed Crisford’s filly ran a fine race when third on debut at Lingfield and shaped as if the stiffer track here will suit. Only beaten by a quarter-of-a-length that day, she wouldn’t need to improve much to come out on top here.

4.00 Beverley

Sassy Soprano has finished fourth over 5f and 6f in two of his last three starts and the stiff 5f here could suit on that evidence. Ann Duffield’s filly has only had seven starts thus far and it’s far too earlier to give up on her. Drawn in stall three, there should be no excuses from there and the daughter of Kodiac is entitled to go close, despite running from 2lb out of the handicap.

5.00 Beverley

Blufferonthebus was a narrow second here over a furlong further in a better race earlier this month and appeared to be outstayed. The drop back in trip can help with that and her form indicates that she is capable of winning off this mark. Craig Lidster’s three-year-old has the coveted inside draw here and should be taking full advantage.
