Aspire To Glory is yet to win a race on turf but he has won twice on the all-weather. His best turf form suggests he should be capable of winning on grass however, certainly in this low grade. The son of Cotai Glory was second off 52 in a handicap at Ripon back in June and a similar effort will surely put him bang in the mix.

Haynes has done well with her previous runners at Ayr in 2024, with all but two of them finishing in the first four. This includes four winners, which gives her a strike-rate of 44 per cent. That’s a very healthy strike-rate indeed and it also suggests that her runners at that track aren’t there for a day out.

The weight conditions of the race are in his favour here and the official ratings suggest the three-year-old is the one to beat. Hollie Doyle has been booked for the ride and she herself has three winners from just eight rides at the track this year.

Connections won’t want to go home empty-handed and there’s a very good chance they can take home a large share of the £7,000 prize pot.
