The racing in Britain isn’t of the highest standard on Sunday but there is a superb card on offer at Naas Racecourse with several quality pattern races on show. Make sure that you check out our free horse racing tips for the day. It has to be very interesting that Alice Haynes sends one runner to Ireland on Sunday so let’s take a look at that horse in more detail now.
Trainer Alice Haynes is having a terrific season already and the fact she sent a Listed winner to Cork recently in the form of Fix You bodes well for the chances of Ziggy’s Dream in the Group 3 sprint at Naas on Sunday.
Ziggy’s Dream was an impressive winner at Doncaster on debut but was a huge eyecatcher at Chester just 11 days ago. She finished second on the day but was easily the best horse in the race.
Chester is an unfair track and when you miss the break there you can forget it. Despite being slowly away, this filly ran on powerfully in the closing stages and might have won if there was another 100 yards to go.
She finished second to Ziggy’s Phoenix on the day who ironically wore the same colours but there is n doubt that the Haynes’ trained filly was the one to take out of the race and she could well be up to winning a race of this nature.
It costs quite a chunk of money to send a horse across the water these days so the fact Haynes is happy to travel over is a real sign of intent.
