‘A return to winning ways shouldn’t be ruled out’ – Liam’s 33/1 outsider of the day

There are four meetings taking place across Britain and Ireland on Wednesday, with plenty of each-way opportunities to explore. One runner at a big price which has drawn the attention of Liam Bramall runs in the final race on the card at Carlisle.

The horse in question is available at substantial odds of 33/1 and his best form suggests that this price isn’t an accurate reflection of his chances. Why not check out our free tips page for daily content, including our Nap of the day.

5.33 Carlisle

On Point (33/1, bet365) has admittedly been a little disappointing since joining Julie Camacho but that could be about to change. It was a reasonable enough effort when fifth at Southwell on debut for the yard but his four handicap runs have been underwhelming.

The son of Blue Point got his career off to the best possible start when winning a Newmarket maiden for Charlie Appleby over 5f in May 2023. He showed a good attitude to get the better of Mashadi by a head and that horse is currently rated 83.

Camacho’s three-year-old has been dropped 5lb by the handicapper since his last run and should be competitive off 66. It’s surely only a matter of time until the penny drops in handicap company and a return to winning ways sooner or later shouldn’t be ruled out.

MyRacing Nap of the day

Duke Of Luckley has been pretty consistent since the spring and returned to winning ways on his first start for 235 days at Southwell in April. He has since finished second in two consecutive course and distance starts and was only beaten by half-a-length when last seen. A similar effort should be enough here, despite the 3lb rise and another big run is anticipated.
