Beverley has an infamous draw bias in 5f races and it’s one of the most severe in the country. Up there with Chester, due to the configuration of the track, higher drawn horses start uphill and that’s less than ideal. As a general rule a high draw usually means game over, as the lower numbers have a huge advantage. We’ve therefore picked out three horses running there on Wednesday with ideal draws and they will be looking to take full advantage. Noelies Dream didn’t show a great deal but it was an improved display when fifth over course and distance last time out. Dylan Cunha’s gelding didn’t have the best of draws that day either but he sets out from stall one here. The son of Dream Ahead looks set to improve again and he’ll surely be in the mix if doing so.
Ophelia Grace will have a bit of space to move over as the horse next to her is a non-runner. She finished second over course and distance on debut and absolutely bolted up at Southwell after that. There should be more to come and a 7lb penalty won’t make much difference if in similar form.
South Parade was an impressive winner at Thirsk on her penultimate start and wasn’t beaten far when third at Newcastle after that. Finishing third in a course and distance novice on heavy ground at two, the soft conditions shouldn’t be an issue and this in-form filly is worth keeping on side for the time being.
