9.27pm Crayford Race Preview 12/05/2018

It’s a huge charity night at Crayford dogs on Saturday, with the myracing greyhound syndicate having a pair of runners. Our greyhound tips will centre on the Greyhound Derby at Towcester but our syndicate members will be packing out the track, with Droopys Nuka the first to go to the traps.

9.27pm Crayford 12/05/2018 A4 Grade

Lord Kinsale – 0/7 in this grade but has gone off favourite the last twice at this level. Has the odd flashy time on his card but tends to move off a little at the bend when he has a quick sectional, so those outside will be hoping he misses it tonight.

Micks Act – An A3 winner in March in a solid 23.74, he has finished third at best in ten runs since. Doesn’t have the sectionals to get competitive with these until the 3/4 mark which will always see him fighting an uphill battle when there is early pace in the contest.

Keeperhill Dubh – Tends to pace up well, with very little early on his inside, he should be able to control the rails at the bend. He was a winner in this grade in 23.88 in mid March and would appear to have solid claims to this prize.

Miss Van Dijk – Paced up well when winning an A5 last week, brave for a small bitch to get round the bend in front. She is flanked by pace here so she is going to have to show that bravery again if she is going to get a clear run.

Tip Top Shiraz – In flying form of late, in A8 on the 31st of March, she was four grades higher here just five weeks later. She paces up to the bend well, just beating Nuka to the punch when they met on the 21st April. Plenty of pace to clear inside but needs respect in her current heart.

Droopys Nuka – A winner of three of her last six, including the last twice in 23.81 and 23.82. She couldn’t clear Tip Top Shiraz when they last met but she only produced a 3.62 sectional there, clocking a 3.57 the last twice. If she can get round clean in front, a hat-trick could be coming.

Conclusion

Nuka is in rude health at present, arriving here looking for a hat-trick. She was unable to clear the 5 when they met last month, though she didn’t trap as well as she can then. If she can turn in front, she has a solid chance of getting another win on the board. The 3 should lead up the inside, if he can turn clean there then he is the biggest danger, with the 4 a progressive pup if she can get a clear.
