8.42pm Crayford Race Preview 30/01/2018

Nuka’s last run in January and she finally has stripes on her back after a string of five runs from the orange jacket. Our greyhound tips were in all conquering form last week, landing 6 NAP’s and 3 Acca’s. They will be on the site by 6.00pm tonight. Before then, let’s break down the task that Nuka faces in her A6 tonight.

8.42pm Crayford 30/01/2018 A6 Grade

Boherna Sheriff – Regularly well supported here, he doesn’t look the most straightforward. Both in Ireland and at Crayford he runs on strongly some weeks, yet gets picked up when in front others so isn’t one to trust fully. Has the times to be in the mix however.

Majority Blue – Solid winner in this grade earlier in January, she has struggled at a higher level the last twice. She should enjoy being back at a level she can win from, though she will need to be on her toes early if she is to lead the 1 to the turn.

Dynamic Product – A length and a quarter in front of Nuka when they met last time out, but he found less trouble than her. He’s only had three races in this country so should progress, though at present he looks the type that has to lead to win so trapping will be crucial.

Kelva Grant – Fellow Jim Daly inmate, lacks a bit of instantaneous early pace from the traps, but goes to the bend strongly. He has been well supported in recent starts, looking well up to winning in this grade sooner rather than later. Big player if clearing the 3 at the bend.

Santro Wind – Solid sprinter when trained in Ireland, he made a quick start to life at this track last spring, winning A5 and A4 back to back. Missed six months but showed at least some ability is still there winning an A7 last time. Traps better from stripes but more than capable in this grade if coming away.

Droopys Nuka – The return of stripes is a huge help to Nuka as she tends to trap so much better from here. Will need to be on her game at the lids with a quick dog inside, but she is going to be a big player in A6 grade now back in her favoured slot.

Conclusion

Drawn in 6 is a huge help to Nuka, the 5 ideally wants to be in stripes as well, but given his early pace she will need to clear him on the run to the bend. Both 3 and 4 are going to be a few grades higher than this sooner rather than later, but they may well get in each others way at the opening turn. If Nuka can get round in front, she may finally get herself back in the winners column which would do her general wellbeing the power of good.
