It’s the final Racing League fixture of the season at Southwell on Wednesday and the competitive prize money has drawn the attention of some Irish trainers. County Dublin-based trainer Adrian McGuinness is set to send three runners over on Wednesday. He’s had one winner from four runners at the track and it could be significant that he’s due to almost double his tally of runners. We’ve combined his three runners into a juicy treble for you to consider. You can check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.
Half Nutz (8-1, bet365) ran two fine races at Leopardstown earlier on this season, finishing second both times. He was too keen at Newcastle last time out and the easier track here could be of assistance. Currently 2lb lower than his last winning mark, he should be competitive once again.
Tosen Wish (6-1, bet365) bumped into a smart winner when finishing second at Newcastle last time out. The handicapper has rightfully left him alone for that and he reappears here off the same mark. His last win came at Dundalk off a 2lb lower mark for Joseph O’Brien. He could be vulnerable to better treated horses but he’s clearly competitive off this mark and should go well.
Star Harbour (15-2, William Hill) has already won a Racing League event this season, scoring at Chepstow last month. This horse probably has a bit to find off this mark, having been a tad disappointing off 1lb lower at Windsor last time. McGuinness’ charge is seemingly unexposed in handicaps on an artificial surface however and it’s unlikely that he’s here to make up the numbers.
