Ffos Las was a happy hunting ground for Nicky Henderson last season and he will be looking to continue that excellent record with three runners on Monday. Henderson had just 10 runners at the Welsh track last season with five of those winning. Seeing as he’s seemingly selective with his runners there, it is perhaps significant that he sends three horses on Monday. The three runners make up a 16-1 treble and the stats suggest they must be of interest. Check out our free tips page for content across all British and Irish racing.
Marmalaid (6-4, William Hill) does need to find some improvement but she’s had just three starts so there’s every reason to believe she can. History would suggest that her trainer does particularly well with mares so he should be able to facilitate some progression. Despite her three tame efforts so far, this race isn’t the strongest heat and she should put in a better performance.
Full Of Light (11-8, William Hill) won a Class 3 event over course and distance when last seen. That was comfortable four-length victory so it would seem like he has a great opportunity to go back into the winners enclosure. The 7lb rise the handicapper gave this lightly raced gelding shouldn’t stop him as he should be capable of continuing to progress.
Lelantos (2-1, William Hill) has won his last two starts and seems to be heading in the right direction after a slow start to his racing career. He’s still relatively lightly raced over hurdles with just eight starts under his belt so there should be some give in his current mark of 103 on his hat-trick attempt.
