5.28pm Henlow Race Preview 25/02/2018

Droopys Hyde is becoming a regular fixture on the Sunday cards at Henlow, another task for him tonight early evening. He has a wider draw than is normally the case tonight, which he will need to overcome. Our greyhound tips will be on the site before 6.00pm tonight, with racing from Towcester and Poole live on RPGTV.

5.28pm Henlow 25/02/2018 A5 Grade

Blackrose Angel – Puppy bitch missed the kick a mile last time, a short runner she was never going to overcome that deficit. She does have some smart sectionals in the tank, will need one to make sure she gets on the bunny as she was picked up by Hyde when they met in December.

Swanita – Pup is killing time over this trip before she steps up, boasting a power packed finish. She has to do things the hard way, a regular in the late 28.20’s any trouble in front will bring her right into contention off the last bend.

Droopys Hyde – The last time he was drawn here, he moved left to the rails, hampering himself on the back of the hound in 2 on that day in the process. A slow starter in 2 should help, but his chance will hinge on how the 1 traps. He beat her in December and with 3 of his last 4 clockings 28.22 or quicker, he has the times to win this if getting a clear run.

Savana Richard – Well behind Hyde when last seen, he encountered all sorts of early trouble on that occasion. Only a June ’16 whelp so is the type for whom the penny may drop at any moment, for all that he has plenty to find on his form in the book so far.

Someone Happy – Steady improvement with each race, putting it all together for the first time when last seen. A repeat of that 3.75 sectional would see her turn front rank and after just five races, one has to expect there is more to come from her.

Wicky Jo – Ex Perry Barr bitch, she was an A3 winner there in November. Produced a smart 28.22 on her first look at Henlow but is yet to build on that. Boasts plenty of early pace, so she will have her chance but may not be good enough to clear the 5.

Conclusion

Another intriguing contest for Hyde, plenty of early boot out wide but they may get in each others way on the run to the bend. The 1 is an inconsistent starter, if she misses it with an always slow starter in 2, Hyde would have a huge chance on his recent form. If she pops out and Hyde has a dog on his inside, then it’s a very different scenario. Any problems up front will bring the strong running 2 into the mix.
