Droopys Hyde has been out regular as clockwork on a Sunday afternoon in recent weeks. He heads back into action once more this afternoon in A4 grade. Our greyhound tips will be from Towcester and Poole tonight (weather permitting) fingers crossed that we have no problems at Henlow!
Droopys Hyde – Will enjoy having the red jacket on his back this afternoon, he should get a lovely clean run to the bend with the 2 an out and gone type. He has come up against her twice in his last four races, she has got the better of the argument both times so he has work to do to reverse those runs.
Queenie – Slick early pace for a mid grader, she has just found others a little strong for her coming home at this level. She looks nailed on to lead once more, with a repeat of her 27.91 win in A5 at the end of February putting her right in the mix at the line.
Savana Breeze – Has the odd smash break in his locker, a 28.10 hound when he times things right. Looks unlikely to get on the bunny unless he produces one of his best efforts with the 2 more consistent on the run to the bend than him
Savana Lexi – A smart 29.18 win at Clonmel in November has seen her arrive at Henlow, grading in at this level. She missed it a mile on her debut, but showed enough in trials to warrant respect at this level given such an unexposed profile.
Blooms Miller – Plenty of early boot, including a (crazy for this level) 3.66 sectional last month. Has been plying his trade at A2/A3 level so far in 2018, an ease in grade making him dangerous especially if he can channel his 27.79 best from November.
Monalee Celt – More early pace in this contest, she won in this grade two starts back, finishing one place in front of Hyde last week. The third of these to duck under 28 seconds in recent times, but she needs to exert her authority on this field early.
No easy task in an A4 but the positives for Hyde are the return of the red jacket and the majority of this field being short runners. He has been coming home really strongly in recent efforts but needs to keep better tabs on them to halfway to pick up the pieces as they stop in front. 2 deserves a win at this level for her consistency, she looks the early leader on the inside, with the 5 the one to beat on peak efforts if he can tap back into the 27.79 form he showed at the back end of 2017 having joined the track from A1 at Peterborough.
