4.28pm Henlow Race Preview 15/04/2018

After a pair of runners on Saturday at Crayford, the myracing syndicate are straight back into action on Sunday afternoon as Droopys Hyde heads to the traps. Our greyhound tips will be from Towcester and Poole tonight, they’ll be on the site before 6.00pm tonight.

4.28pm Henlow 15/04/2018 A5 Grade

Kilcrea Vickie – Produced a smart trial here last month, her first go in graded company, however, was a long way short of that. She is an ex A3 Nottingham bitch, so should make this level in time, but she has a lot to do to get involved with the best of these.

Droopys Hyde – A return to calmer waters for Hyde, dropped in grade and trip. As a result of the easier assignment, the racing manager has given away his favoured red jacket. The 1 doesn’t have bundles of early but so much will depend on whether Hyde clears her to the bend.

Blackrose Angel – Inconsistent early but she has a bit of pace when she hits the lids, with little to clear inside. Picked up a win in this grade in February in a solid 28.06, a repeat of that would put her right in the mix this afternoon.

Savana Farah – Pup has worked her way up the grades well this year, triumphant at this level last month. She hit the lids there, doing everything right to score in 27.95. That’s two and a half lengths quicker than her second best time so she needs to prove she can repeat that.

Tree Top Bubbles – Looked a decent recruit in Ireland but he had not quite clicked at this track until a wide margin winner of an A6 last time out. He needs to take another sizeable step forward on that bare form if he is to trouble this field.

Marys Belle – As high as A3 a couple of months back, she is a strong stayer at this trip. Her three wins were in 28.10, 28.11 & 28.13, so she needs things to drop her way if she is to swoop late and pick them up, but any trouble will play massively to her strengths.

Conclusion

Hyde has three wins to his credit from 2 so far at Henlow including in this grade so although red would’ve been preferable, this is by no means a stopper for him. There is a lack of early pace inside him in 1, with 3 and 4 the ones who are going to be vying for the early lead. Clearing the 1 at the bend will give Hyde the best chance to grab another win, with any trouble in front a huge help for the 6 who is very strong at this trip.
