What a day Saturday was for the dogs. Droopys Nuka won at Crayford on Saturday morning for the myracing syndicate before we landed a 20/1 greyhound acca winner on the greyhound tips in the evening. Poole and Towcester will be on RPGTV tonight, our tips for there will be on line before 6.00pm tonight. The weekend shows no signs of slowing down, with Droopys Hyde in action at Henlow this afternoon.
Droopys Hyde – The all important red jacket is on the back of Hyde today, with a downgrade to A6 to boot. He’s been going through a bit of a down patch, though given how hot he was when first at Henlow, that’s easily forgiven. He showed a little more spark last week and on his best, he would very much be the one to beat.
Tyra Lolo – Pup really clicked into action last week, smashing the lids to make all the running in A7 grade. That was a career best sectional so he has to show that he can do it again. He stays this trip well, but needs to continue his upward curve.
Savana Kitty – Just 1/19 at the track, a short head victory in an A7 earlier this month. She has a record of 0/7 when competing this high but she has been a regular in the 28.30 region of late, rarely running a bad race so she should be thereabouts.
Savana Harrison – Hit a rude run of health in mid March, winning in this grade in a very solid 28.13. He stays this trip well, but only has a little turn of early pace from time to time. Others are less exposed but he has the form in the book to go close at his best.
Blackrose Angus – A double figure price in this grade the last twice, he lacks the early pace to take a prominent pitch. He plugs on well enough late on, but a best of 28.32 (his only time sub 28.45) doesn’t look good enough here.
Savana Danny – The third Savana in the race, he has been the subject of plenty of support, sent off favourite in six of his last seven races. He has left the money in the satchels on five of those occasions, heading the market once again today. January form would give him a big shout but more recent efforts are not as good.
Hyde has not been quite at his best in recent weeks but this looks a solid opportunity down in grade and in his favoured red jacket. The market suggests that his kennelmate in 6 is his big danger, but that hound has been a bookies friend of late so his biggest problem may be if the 3 or 4 get loose on the speed.
