Away from the ITV Racing action, Ryan Moore is instead over in Ireland to ride for his retainer Aidan O’Brien at Navan Racecourse, and he of course has some big chances. He has an exceptional strike rate at the venue and last season alone rode seven winners from 11 rides there. We have put his best three chances into a tasty treble for Saturday.
The Antarctic was second to Blackbeard in the Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket over 6f when last seen and this represents a great opportunity to go one better off the back of a break of seven months. Aidan O’Brien has got his season off to a flying start and this lad should really win if the form book is to be taken at face value.
Jackie Oh created a great impression when winning her maiden at Naas over a mile on heavy ground on debut 27 days ago. She looked in need of a proper test and is sure to benefit from this step up in trip and she’s clearly an exciting prospect for the yard. The Moore and O’Brien partnership won this race last year with Concert Hall.
Emily Dickinson is a really smart filly and she produced the best performance of her career when winning the Loughbrown Stakes at the Curragh over two miles on heavy by 5½ lengths from Baron Samedi, surging clear. She has been off the track six months so fitness has to be taken on trust but she is clearly the one to beat. There is every chance that she has strengthened and filled out into a smashing type for this coming season.
