’20-1 is unbelievable value’ – Liam really likes Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe candidate 😍

We have learnt a lot about Europe’s best middle-distance performers in the last couple of weeks. Last weekend gave us fresh contenders with the Derby, Oaks and Prix du Jockey Club taking place. France also gave us more to ponder with the Prix Saint-Alary taking place the week before. It would seem that now is a good time to look ahead to the final big event on the calendar; the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe. Liam Bramall has picked out a contender that seems to have been forgotten by the market. Check out our free tips page for content across all British and Irish racing.

Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe

Adayar was last year’s Derby and King George winner, consequently becoming the first to do that prestigious double since the great Galileo. Things didn’t work out for him in the race last year as he was bogged down by the heavy going and he was too keen. Despite that, he ran a decent enough race in fourth. Most horses develop physically from three to four so it’s reasonable to expect him to do the same. Hopefully as a more mature horse he’ll settle better and conserve more energy for the later stages of his races.

His price can only be a consequence of the fact that he’s yet to race during the current campaign. As long as he takes in a couple of big summer targets such as the King George, the International Stakes or the Irish Champion Stakes; there’s no cause for alarm. It’s more than likely that he’ll be primed and ready by October.

He’s currently available at 20-1 with most firms which is unbelievable value on the balance of his best form. There is absolutely no way that this price reflects his chances of finishing in the first three and he looks like cracking each-way value.
