2.48pm Henlow Race Preview 28/01/2018

The end of a busy January for Droopys Hyde, in the heats of another two round competition. He made the final the last time he was in this situation so fingers are firmly crossed that he is able to repeat the dose. Our greyhound tips have been in flying form this week, they will be up later on this afternoon.

2.48pm Henlow 28/01/2018 A6 Grade

Droopys Hyde – Hasn’t had things go right for him the last few weeks and as a consequence has lost his form. Well capable of winning in this grade when things drop right, but he has a quick starter in 2 who out-trapped him last week, which has to be an issue.

Millys Nye – Drawn inside Hyde last week, she is to his outside this week. She has the early to cause him problems on the run to the bend and looks to be running into smart form with her last three runs all career best ones.

Savana Arthur – Missed the kick, finding trouble as a consequence when beaten in an A7 final two runs back. No surprise to see him take the majority of the market given his profile. A clear run and he has major claims.

Westmead Ireland – Decent trials hound so far but she is yet to get the job done under race conditions. Should be well capable of getting her head in front in this grade once she has learnt her trade, but this looks tough for now.

Firgrove Beauty – Is 0/11 in her career but has not had a lot of luck. Knocked over on the run-in earlier this month when close up, her confidence has looked dented the last twice. She could do with a clear run round to get her back in the swing of things.

Corfu Artemis – In front of Hyde last time but behind Millys Nye, she was previously in smart form climbing the grades. She is a strong runner at this trip so would be a danger if turning handy, but others may have gone out of reach by then.

Conclusion

A decent contest for an A6, with the 3 looking a likely type. Unexposed and beautifully bred, he should leave this lowly level well behind him with his dam being a superstar over 6 bends in Ireland in times past. The 2 led Hyde up last week, she once again is the thorn in his side on the run to the first bend. The 4 and 5 are both hard to back on their current form but both are capable of better once they have their confidence restored after some bumpy rides.
