Another busy weekend for the myracing greyhound syndicate, kicking off with Droopys Nuka in an A6 on Saturday morning. It will be Newcastle which stars on the greyhound tips this evening, a fantastic card for the evening meeting. Before those top class open races, let’s break down Nuka’s task.
Yacht Julie – Smart effort when winning in this grade at the end of March. That was a bit of a shock, sent off at a double-figure price the last twice at this level. She will need her best break if she is to get involved at the end of this one.
Final Alana – Pup has clicked in recent weeks, picking up wins at both A8 and A7 level. She should lead up the 1 here, which can give her a nice clear run to the bend. She needs more at this higher level but she’s going the right way.
Out Of Newyork – Wide margin winner in this grade in March, hitting the lids in no uncertain manner. He has not got close to that kind of sectional since but the drop in grade makes him dangerous.
Risky Manny – As high as A3 back in the autumn, he is yet to score in 2018. The drop to this grade makes him more interesting, especially as he has 23.80’s in the tank. Not an early paced type though so will need to ride his luck early.
Tip Top Shiraz – Short runner at this trip, she paces up to the bend well. Confidence high after a pair of wins in lower grades, but she doesn’t dip under 24 seconds often and that shouldn’t be good enough here without a lot of luck.
Droopys Nuka – Picked up an A7 earlier in the month, she was inches away from getting round in front last Saturday. A little unlucky there, another break like that should see her lead up this morning. Her best chance as always will be out on the bunny.
Not a lot of regular early pace in this line-up, Nuka has a solid chance of getting herself round in front on the bunny. She only just failed in that quest last week, if turning in front this morning, she looks to have a big chance. The 4 was much higher than this only six months ago, he has to be a danger at this level along with the 3 who was a wide margin scorer the last time he was seen in an A6.
