11.06am Crayford Race Preview 27/07/2018

An early start for the myracing greyhound syndicate on Friday as Meenagh Mourinho is in top grade action in the third race on the Crayford card. It will be Romford that sees our greyhound tips tonight as we look to back up Wednesday’s effort that saw a clean sweep, including a 77/1 Mega Acca winner!

11.06am Crayford 27/07/2018 A1 Grade

Special Story – A very smart bitch who beat Brinkleys Poet in a course and distance open in May. She was a winner in this grade last time out beating both the 3 and Jose. There isn’t a lot of early on the inside, a clear run makes her a huge player once more this morning.

Art Of Magic – Winner of an A2 last time out, he has A1 victories to his credit earlier in 2018. He has 23.40’s in the bank when things go right for him, though he isn’t the most consistent trapper so will need to be on his toes at lid rise to avoid the 1 on the run to the bend.

Wicky Mary – Youngster has made a very smart start to her career here but she took her record to 0/6 in A1 when behind both the 1 and Jose last time out. She has some smart early pace to her credit but will need plenty of luck from here to produce her first A1 win.

Pure Peron – Cracking looker from a smart litter, she was a winner of an A2 on Saturday night. She has plenty of early boot, but her main character trait which makes her dangerous for Jose is her tendency to move off at the 1/4 mark.

Meenagh Mourinho – Jose is all about brute early. Both he and the 5 have 36 races to their credit at the track, with 17 sectionals each of 3.55 or quicker. He has an exceptional 8/20 record when clad in stripes so always needs plenty of respect when coming from here.

Conclusion

It might not be easy for either of the two wide runners to get themselves a clear run in the early stages with both being so closely matched in terms of early pace. If one of them happens to miss it then the other is a major player at this level, though the 1 is probably the one to beat on the draw with plenty of very smart form to her credit. With Jose’s record from stripes, he looks a sizeable price, however, especially if he can clear the 5.
