1.22pm Crayford Race Preview 13/01/2018

Early Saturday afternoon sees Droopys Nuka back in action at Crayford. She has been a bit inconsistent since coming back from injury, a smart effort sandwiched by a couple of lesser ones. Lack of match practise first time back told and then last time from 5 where we don’t really like her so there are excuses, but she has 5 again now. Our greyhound tips will be on site by 6.00pm, let’s see if we will have already had a winner before then.

1.22pm Crayford 13/01/2018 A5 Grade

Noahs Bark – Aside from being one of the best named dogs at Crayford at present, he tends to take the lion share of the in ring money. Sent off favourite for his last six starts, he is always dangerous when he turns close to the pace at this level given his strength over 540m.

Kelva Captin – A fellow Jim Daly hound, he is another who has done well over 6 bends. Lacks the early pace to have much say to halfway over this trip, but he is more than quick enough to make his presence felt if he can pick his way through from the back.

Rash Promise – Not really taken to this track so far but was only a couple of lengths slower than Jose at Drumbo so the potential is there to be a couple of grades higher than this. Best sectionals would see her lead up the inside and give her the best chance possible.

O Leary Tune – Has lost his trapping boots a little in recent weeks, a massive danger if he were to find them again. As high as A3 in early November, he has the potential to climb a grade again if he leads this field up, flanked by inconsistent starters.

Droopys Nuka – At the risk of sounding like a broken record, the orange jacket doesn’t suit Nuka as well as stripes. 1/9 when housed here and 3/13 in 6, she will have to be right on her game from the get go here to get round without a bump.

Kirbys Xmas – A winner in this grade in July, her quickest performance came at the end of December when landing an A6. She has smart early pace, looking a danger to all if she comes away in her best fashion.

Conclusion

The 4 dog was a couple of grades better than this only two months ago, he would be a big player if he were to find his trapping boots again. The 6 was a slick winner in the grade below at the end of December and with the most consistent sectionals, she may take advantage of Nuka if she misses it. The inside pair stay well but don’t have masses of early so the 3 who was only a couple of lengths slower than Jose over the Drumbo sprint trip looks capable of considerably better here, with the 1 always well supported.
