Tip: FINIAN’S OSCAR at 6/5

IN SUMMARY: FINIAN’S OSCAR (6/5) took high rank in last season’s novice hurdlers and has suffered just one blip so far over fences over a trip too short. If he is over that he should be difficult to beat despite having to give weight to both Benatar and Dolos.

1 FINIAN’S OSCAR – One of the most talked about horses of the season and it was a shock when he was beaten a mile out behind Sceau Royal last time. He was never comfortable that day but he steps up back in trip which should help no end and he has a big chance of getting back on track here.

2 BENATAR – A 142-rated hurdler who seems to have improved leaps and bounds for the switch to fences where he has won both his starts so far. He was ultra-impressive on his chase debut and thrashed subsequent Grade 2 winner Keeper Hill last time, claims getting weight from Finian’s Oscar.

3 DOLOS – Won a couple of races over hurdles but was a few pounds inferior to the others over hurdles with a rating of 135. He looked like fences could be the making of him however when he hacked up last time and he receives weight all around but the form is suspect with the fav falling early on.
