6.55pm Kempton Tips & Betting Preview 30/11/2016

This could be a tricky Handicap to sort out with a few horses bringing good form to the table. Read on for our experts’ thoughts and betting tips.

IN SUMMARY: Ebbisham will be rightly popular after his two-and-a-half-length success over this C&D at the beginning of the month and he could follow up off a 5lb higher mark. He is taken on with both Baltic Prince and BELIEVE IT. The former has won here before and should go well but the latter was a decent third last time out at Chelmsford last time out and can go close for the Richard Hughes stable. Music Major can follow them home.

1 Red Cossack – Has won here before last September, getting up to win by 2 lengths over 7f. Decent second of 7 in a Handicap here 35 days ago when clear of the rest. Bit to find on form with some of these but does run well here.

2 Baltic Prince – Won back-to-back races here last Spring but out of form in 10 runs since last win at Chelmsford last September. Decent second of 14 in a Handicap at Leicester over 7f 37 days ago. Has a big run in him and dangerous to rule out in this.

3 Rightway – Scored in a 6-runner Handicap at Sandown in July winning tidily by a short head. Has been off for 126 days. Could be competitive if finding best form but should come on for the run after lay-off.

4 Stormbound – Won at Brighton in April, bounding clear to win by 3 ¾ lengths from the favourite. C&D winner in 2013 and solid fifth of 9 in a Handicap here 35 days ago when badly hampered. Has Blinkers back on today but not one to get too excited about.

5 Believe It – Has won twice over 7f on a synthetic surface, the latest coming at Lingfield in February when comfortably scoring by 1 ¼ length. Good third of 12 in handicap at Chelmsford City over 7f 51 days ago. Has the tongue-strap back on today and is a big player in this field.

6 Harry Holland – Back-to-back winner at Lingfield in February and then here a month later. Poor Seventh of 11 in a Handicap at Wolverhampton 11 days ago and has been slightly disappointing this year. Can be ruled out in this.

7 Shifting Star – Admirable 11-y-o who hasn’t won here since scoring by a neck over two years ago. Won at Windsor in May and only fair form since. Way back in fifth in a 14 runner Handicap here 2 weeks ago and hard to fancy this time.

8 Haabis – Thrice-raced maiden who was last of 9 in a Maiden at Chelmsford City in April. Has been off for 7 months. Makes debut in a Handicap today and others look more persuasive unless market speaks in his favour.

9 Ebbisham – Has won twice from 5 runs this year. First at Bath in April, getting up to win by 1 ½ lengths in a 13-runner race. Ran a career best when winning a 7-runner Handicap here days ago. Goes very well fresh but a slight doubt he can follow up being turned out again so quickly. Solid place claims.

10 Flowing Clarets – Two wins this year with the first coming at Thirsk in August, getting up win by a neck from the useful Jaarih from the Conor Dore yard. Latest win came at Windsor last month, staying on strongly to score by 1 ¼ lengths. First run for the yard since leaving Richard Fahey when only eighth of 10 in a Handicap at Lingfield 19 days ago. Up in trip and hard to think this sprint specialist can be effective at this trip. Yard also run Shifting Star.

11 Check ‘Em Tuesday – C&D winner here last month staying on nicely to win by 1 ¼ lengths. Tenth of 13 in a Handicap at Wolverhampton when last seen 46 days ago and much more needed to win this.

12 Hijran – Won at Thirsk in August, staying on strongly to win by 1 ¼ lengths that day. Fair form since but a decent enough fourth of 13 in a Handicap at Chelmsford 13 days ago. The Appleby yard remain in good form but needs a career-best to win this.

13 Music Major – Has won three times from 13 runs this year including two wins here. Produced a career-best when winning a 7-runner Handicap here 29 days ago, kept up to work to win by a length. Needs another career-best to figure here but good draw and market clues will be useful.

14 Siouxperhero – Unreliable type who is 1 win from 2 runs this year. Won 10-runner handicap at Wolverhampton 18 days ago. Well treated on best form but has never backed up a win and could be found out today.
