Finding winners is never an easy task, especially as there’s so many variables and factors to consider. Course records are often a good way of gaging whether or not a horse is likely to run well. With that in mind, we’ve selected three horses in ITV races with proven course records at their respective tracks on Saturday and combined them into treble. They include two horses with 100 per cent records, as well as four-time track winner. Take a look at our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.
Judicial Deference (11/2, bet365) has won three of his four starts over hurdles so far and it could be a while before the handicapper catches up. He won with plenty in hand here over slightly further last time out and won’t be inconveniences by the slight drop in trip. A 5lb rise could prove to be rather generous and he has the potential to become a 130+ horse.
Heltenham (5/2, bet365) loves it here at Newbury and he returned to winning ways with a game success in a valuable course and distance handicap when last seen. Dan Skelton’s nine-year-old has four wins and a second to his name in six course starts and that bodes well for another big run here.
Glen Road (6/1, bet365) struggled in his first couple of chase starts but produced a much improved display when runner-up at Sandown earlier this month. The son of Sageburg was a comfortable winner here over hurdles in December and will be defending a 1oo per cent course record. The handicapper has pushed him up 1lb but there could be plenty more to come.
