Unexposed over this trip, he’s a three-mile point winner and his only recent run over 2m4f came in the Melling Chase. He’s been dropped a couple of pounds since his last run, where he finished third, and the gelding looks ready for a return to the winners’ enclosure.

Tommy’s Oscar (14/1, bet365) was a Grade 2 winner at the peak of his powers and although the veteran hasn’t won for over a year, he now looks very well treated. Ann Hamilton’s gelding has two wins and a second to his name in just four starts at Musselburgh and he’s got the ability to run a big race.
