Inthepocket

Henry de Bromhead’s talented but fragile gelding Inthepocket won a Grade 1 at Aintree as a novice hurdler. We haven’t seen a great deal with him since but he was in the process of running well when coming down at Naas earlier this month. This horse could have a decent prize or two in him this year.

Kawaboomga

Potentially a bit of a forgotten horse, he finished second on his first start for Willie Mullins and was unfortunate to bump into Kopek Des Borders that day. He went one better at Fairyhouse after that and Supreme runner-up William Munny finished second. A big season could be on the cards.

Kopeck De Mee

Kopeck De Mee arrived from France with a big reputation and flopped at short price in the Martin Pipe at Cheltenham. Perhaps he needed the run however he produced a much better display when second at Aintree after that. A campaign over fences beckons and the best is yet to come.

Manlaga

Nicky Henderson has managed to find some very smart juveniles in France recently, with Sir Gino and Lulamba sticking out the most. Fellow French import Manlaga won a decent contest on debut in France and her trainer likes what he sees from her so far.

The Wallpark

The Gordon Elliott-trained The Wallpark finished third in the Stayers’ Hurdle in March and fourth at Aintree the following month. He started off over fences at Naas earlier this month but that effort was too bad to be true and he should be much more competitive when going back up in trip.
