‘This combination never fails’ – The Mullins/Townend treble to back on Friday

Willie Mullins is National Hunt racing’s dominant force and he’s rarely far away from the winners’ enclosure. There will be plenty of interest in his runners at Kilbeggan on Friday, especially those ridden by primary jockey Paul Townend. This combination never fails and Townend’s rides combine to form a tantalising treble. Take a look at our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

4.15 Kilbeggan

Love Me Tender (4/6, bet365) cost €110,000 at the sales and the son of Doctor Dino made the perfect start to his career at Tramore. Contesting a bumper that day, he kicked clear to score by eight lengths and there was plenty to like about the performance. Progress seems likely now going hurdling and he’s unlikely to be far away.

4.50 Kilbeggan

Dysart Dasher (9/4, bet365) has a smashing pedigree, being half-brother to the yard’s talented but very buzzy Dysart Dynamo. It’s perhaps a little disappointing that he hasn’t won in three starts but the eight-year-old finished third last time and showed potential signs of improvement. This probably isn’t the deepest of maidens so it wouldn’t be a surprise if he was to get off the mark.

7.05 Kilbeggan

North Moon (11/4, bet365) could only manage seventh in a Wexford bumper on debut and it’s noted that he goes significantly up in trip on hurdling debut. Plenty went wrong on debut and he probably could have finished closer if not for an untimely stumble. His pedigree is a mixed bag, being related to a 5f winner and a 2m4f jumper, but he’s entitled to take a big step forward here.
