The cream rises to the top on the big days, usually. We are set fare for another great day of action at the Curragh Racecourse on Sunday as we have pattern action via the Meadow Court Stakes, while we also have the Group 2 Minstrel Stakes to whet the appetite. Master handler Aidan O’Brien will have his big guns on show and Ryan Moore seldom gets it wrong! This Sunday acca will tempt many! Best of luck if you follow it.
With Signora a non-runner, Ryan Moore will now take the ride on newcomer Sugar Island. The Dubawi filly is a half-sister to staying winner Mother Nature and she has found a nice opening opportunity.
Diego Velazquez won a Group 3 and Group 2 at Leopardstown last season and although he was well beaten in the Queen Anne at Royal Ascot on his reappearance, if he’s anywhere near his best he will blow this field apart. Odds against looks more than fair to us.
Light As Air could only muster up twelfth of 19 in a Royal Ascot handicap when last seen but the pick of his maiden form is handstands above anything else in the race and he should be winning under Ryan Moore.
Guarded is a daughter of Frankel who arrives here off the back of a good second in a 1m Naas maiden last month and the cheekpieces might bring about further improvement here. She by far looks like the one to beat and she can round off the acca.
