3.50 Nottingham

Wanderlust didn’t show a great deal in her first three starts and was beaten by a total of 31 lengths in maiden and novice company. She made her handicap debut at Yarmouth last month and managed to produce a significantly better effort.

Finishing third behind a couple of older horses that day, she raced prominently before getting a little outpaced. It’s worth noting that she rallied well after that but didn’t quite have the pace to trouble the first two. Stoute’s filly races off the same mark here and it would be a surprise if she doesn’t improve again on just her second handicap start.

That latest effort certainly suggested that the step up to 1m6f could be suitable as there’s less chance of her getting caught for toe when the pace quickens. There’s evidence in her pedigree to support this theory and it would be a nice touch if she can do the business for her trainer.

William Muir & Chris Grassick’s runner Letmebetheboss has been in good form recently and appears to be the biggest danger. Rock N Roll Pinkie returned to form with a solid second when last seen and looks likely to be on the premises again.

It would be good to see the legendary trainer go out with a bang and the Richard Kingscote-ridden filly appears to have every chance here.
