Well-known horse racing photographer and Listowel native Pat Healy is a marketing genius for his local track and has in the past attracted some big names to partake at the meeting.
In 2022, Frankie Dettori was the star attraction and at the time Healy was the chairman of the racecourse. That was his final year in the hot seat but he clearly still has a big pull at the County Kerry track.
It has to be wonderful news for the local area that arguably the world’s leading jockey Ryan Moore will be riding at the Listowel Harvest Festival on Tuesday.
Pat Healy stated: “Ryan is a world-wide name so his presence will bring international attention to the Harvest Festival and we look forward to welcoming him to ride in County Kerry for the first time.
“He will join the many top jockeys to have ridden at the course over the years and Listowel Race Committee is very grateful to Aidan O’Brien, the Coolmore partners and to Chris Armstrong (assistant to O’Brien) for organising the logistics and for making it happen.
“We are excited to meet Ryan and he will be a great draw for our crowds.”
