We have a great day of racing to look forward to on Saturday with a competitive meeting at Cheltenham Racecourse and you can find all of our free horse racing tips on the website right now. Away from Britain, there’s also a decent card at Fairyhouse and it always has to be interesting when money comes for a Willie Mullins trained horse. Mullins has a couple of horses who have been backed at decent prices and they must be worth a second look!
Mullins trains four of the seven runners in the Grade 3 SBK Solerina Mares Novice Hurdle over 2m2f, so the market is bound to be telling. With that in mind, the horse that has seen some money is Judicieuse Allen, who has been backed from 11/1 into a top price of 7/1 now. She has only had one run since leaving French trainer Gabriel Leenders but impressed when landing a 16-runner novice hurdle at Limerick last month. Who knows how good this horse is but she is entitled to plenty of respect.
Running in the 2m SBK Maiden Hurdle, Willie Mullins’ Houlanbatordechais has seen some significant support this morning. Owned by Rich Ricci, the son of Great Pretender has been backed from 13/2 into 7/2. A dual bumper winner when trained in France, this horse has been largely disappointing since, but he ran a decent enough race when sixth behind King Of Kingsfield in a Leopardstown maiden hurdle over the Christmas period. This is a much easier race, and although he has to improve a good deal again to win, the money would suggest Mullins might have him spot on today.
