There’s a competitive all-weather card taking place at Lingfield on Wednesday evening. Not all horses take to the all-weather and Lingfield has its eccentricities. With this in mind, we’ve picked out two runners at each way prices who have winning form at the track. When combined, these horses form an attractive 120-1 double. Tralee Hills (11-1, William Hill) has won twice and placed twice in four out of eight starts on Lingfield’s all-weather track. The veteran gelding hasn’t tried this trip of two miles since two placed efforts off a 2lb higher mark back in October and November. He clearly likes softer ground on the turf so the switch back to the all-weather is a good move given current weather conditions. Could be overpriced here as he looks well handicapped on some of his best form.
Man On A Mission (10-1, bet365) is yet to finish out of the places in two starts at Lingfield. This includes a course and distance win which came three starts ago. His current mark is just 2lb higher than when winning that day having been dropped 1lb for his latest effort. That was a disappointing effort over 5f but he’ll definitely be suited by the step back up to 6f. A better performance can be expected here and he shouldn’t be written off.
