Pat Rosney’s charge has been unable to buy a clear run in recent starts but you only need to look back to July to see exactly what he is capable of over this course and distance. This represents a slight drop in class and with the presence of the often well supported but frequent bridesmaid, Rafas Wee Jet in opposition, we can get a backable price!

20.36 T2 – Pinkandytownpunk 11/2

The selection has been struggling a little of late around Monmore but that is much more of a speed test over 4 bends than Nottingham. His form in the summer winning top grade at Towcester stands up to the closest of scrutiny while his early form in Ireland will have ensured that he was anything but a cheap purchase. A couple in opposition have spurned similar chances of late so at 11/2 ‘Andy’ looks a spot of value!

21.07 T1 – Lemon Pluto 11/4

Pluto was beaten in the heats of this competition by the 6 dog last time but the stripes doesn’t have quite such an easy make up as he did then as the sole wide seed. Pluto is getting a little long in the tooth but he is still more than capable of showing his younger rivals a clean set of paws if breaking on terms. He has stopped the clock in some flashy times here in the past and would be hard to touch if leading.

21.41 T6 – Moss Lane Sue 6/4

Only a five runner contest for the last selection in what looks a two dog race. The 3 dog is sure to rattle home as is her want but this wouldn’t normally be far enough for her. Sue should therefore get first run on what looks to be her only conceivable opponent and that should he enough to allow her to come home in front tonight. Be sure to keep a close eye in the 3 though who looks the forecast banker.
