PIPERS NOTE is a five-time winner over this course and distance, including a win in this race last year, and is now four pounds below his last winning handicap mark. He has what appear to be his optimum conditions today so should be very difficult to beat. The second-placed spot can go the way of Tomily, who is running from seven pounds below his All-Weather handicap mark. He was not disgraced in a competitive handicap at York last time out and should appreciate the quick ground conditions on offer.
