 IN SUMMARY: SIZING PLATINUM (11/10) is a very classy animal who can take advantage of his current mark if handling easy ground. Matorico may just provide the biggest challenge today.

1 SIZING PLATINUM – A pretty useful chaser who has run against and beaten some very good horses in his career. That said, he has been slightly out of form as of late and needs a revival. His handicap mark is eye-catchingly lenient, however, and he must have a big chance.

2 MATORICO – Has run just once over fences in a warm enough beginner’s chase and wasn’t completely disgraced. His chase mark is 5lb lower than his hurdles mark and, with that experience under his belt, he must have a shout on ground he doesn’t mind.

3 UN BEAU ROMAN – A very exposed chaser who has been out of form for a while and winless since November last year. That being said, he has won off this mark and has the edge of experience over some of these so isn’t entirely out of it.

4 UT MAJEUR AULMES – Well beaten in his last three runs, but has tumbled down the weights to a winning mark as a result. It’s not impossible to imagine that he can come back to that sort of form and have a part to play in this kind of race.

5 DE FAOITHESDREAM – Much the oldest of this field, as well as the lowest rated, and he could struggle here. He has really tumbled down the weights, but for good reason having been beaten over ten lengths in each of his last seven starts – doesn’t inspire any confidence.
